Buffalo Homecare is Seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator to help develop and enrich relationships with potential Buffalo Homecare clients. The Intake Coordinator position would require you to work in our office at 490 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo NY 14216.

Duties:
The Intake Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the clinical team members. Responsible for the operational aspects of the vendor referral and authorization process. Coordinates authorized services with appropriate agencies. Communicates with Members on a regular basis and collaborates with team members to support Members’ needs.
- Responsible for accurate review and entry of authorization data into service authorization system.
- Works with supervisors to make recommendations for process improvement.
- Contacts and maintains relationships with MLTC’s and insurance companies.
- Answers inbound member calls, triaging calls, answering questions and escalating as appropriate to supervisors.
- Collaborates with supervisors in order to obtain necessary documentation from vendors, Healthcare Providers, Hospitals and other providers
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree preferred not required
- 1 or more years of experience in a health care administration setting, preferably homecare.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally on the phone
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and participate in their resolution.
Salary:
Up to - $22
