What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Infusion Nurse position at Buffalo Homecare Inc.?
Buffalo Homecare is Seeking a registered nurse to support our infusion patients with teaching and drug administration. Majority focus on IVIG and subcutaneous IG. The Infusion Nurse position would require you to work out of our office at 490 Delaware Avenue, in addition to travel throughout Western New York.

Infusion Nurse Duties:
- Carry out plan of care.
- Perform specialized procedures as directed under the physician’s order.
- Assists with preparation, implementation and continuing evaluation of the client care plan.
- Recognizes and understands the effects of social and economic problems upon clients and provides for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of clients.
- Helps teach the client the appropriate self-care techniques.
- Prepares clinical and progress notes.
- Assist with in-service programs.
- Prepare clinical and progress notes.
- Observe, record, and report to the appropriate person client symptoms, reactions and changes.
- Assists in the rehabilitation of clients.
Infusion Nurse Conditions:
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing in English is required.
- Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping and helping stand clients.
- Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the client’s condition and to perform client care.
Qualifications:
- Must have some proficiency with peripheral and central IV lines. Our nursing team will provide strong mentorship and teaching related to learning use of all DME, learning about medications administered, and policies/procedures.
- NY State Registered Nursing License
- Experience in a home health agency setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
