Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage pain.
Full-time position is Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch and Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm with a one-hour lunch.
- Implements treatment program as directed by Physical Therapist, which may include but is not limited to exercise demonstration, application of modalities, and manual therapy/training as determined by PT
- Performs clerical duties such as receiving and scheduling patients and answering phones
- Helps with clinic flow such as cleaning tables, tools, and equipment
- Maintains department and Group policies and procedures including those related to Covid-19, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control
- Participates in clinic educational programs and in-services
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Attends and participates in required meetings
- Participates in professional development and educational activities.
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Uses EMR to document daily and progress notes in a timely manner
- Communicates routinely with evaluating therapist on patient progress towards goals
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: 2-year Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. NYS license to practice as PTA. Previous experience in an outpatient care facility.

Pay: $22.85 - $35.70 per hour
