RN Dermatology - Williamsville

Currently we are seeking a Full Time RN to join the Group in our Dermatology office in Williamsville.

No Holidays and No Weekends

Schedule:

Full Time - Monday 7:00a-5:00p, Tuesday/Thursday 6:30a-4:00p, Wednesday/Friday 6:30a-12:30p

The RN position is a very important part of Buffalo Medical Group. Our RNs are expected to maintain the highest level of customer service and professionalism and we ask that you are always courteous, professional and enthusiastic with all coworkers and patients.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the inpatient/outpatient setting by participating in rounds, recording progress notes and determining and implementing therapeutic goals under direct supervision of attending physician.
• Transcribe verbal orders of the attending physician including laboratory and diagnostic testing, drug and intravenous therapy, with a counter signature within 24 hours by attending physician.
• Obtain a detailed nursing history and physical assessment and record these findings.
• Obtain consent, prepare patient for dermatological procedures utilizing aseptic techniques.
• Manage wound care utilizing aseptic technique including preparation and application of topical medications, compresses and dressings per supervising physician’s order.
• Apply skin tests, patch tests, draw venous blood and perform nursing procedures including administration of medications, specimen collection for cultures, IV initiation. Per supervising physician’s order when necessary.
• Development and review of CLIA manual
• Provide health teaching regarding physician orders, nursing orders and medications.
• Maintain CLIA requirements for the dermatology laboratory including maintenance/record keeping/logbooks/ordering of chemical/storage.
• Disinfect ultrasound, sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Dermapathology record keeping/slide management/charting.
• Telephone triage (sick and well calls, results, prescription refills.)
• Participate in continuing education (within Dermatology nursing and general Dermatology).
• Attend Dermatology nursing conventions.
• Will participate in worksite safety training programs.
• Will comply with all Group policies and procedures including mandatory annual in-services.
• Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations
• Perform other duties as required/assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active New York State License
• Experience with an EMR

Pay: $27.19 - $40.79 per hour
