Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician at Buffalo Pharmacies, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide high-quality pharmaceutical services to the community. We are currently looking for technicians available to work the afternoon/evening shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Support the pharmacist in compounding specialty prescriptions when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in training programs for new staff and ongoing education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IV infusion processes is a plus but not required.
- Experience in acute or critical care settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
