NOTICE OF POSITION
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tonja M. Williams Knight, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the internal position of :
Division of Multilingual Education 24 Multilingual Support Teachers
10 HOURS OF PLANNING :
Location : Virtual Teams Meetings
Time : 5 : 00 pm – 7 : 00 pm
Dates : APRIL 22, APRIL 23, APRIL 29
FOUR 1 / 200TH SATURDAYS :
Locations : TBD (IN PERSON)
Time : 8 : 15 am -3 : 30 pm
Days : APRIL 26, MAY 3, MAY 10, MAY 17

QUALIFICATIONS :
Candidates must hold a valid teaching certificate in : Counseling or Social Work and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured or probationary teacher. Teachers who have previously worked in the Multilingual Support Program will be given preference. Teachers will create lesson plans for students, and presentations for families utilizing approved district curriculum, supplementing with supervisor’s approval. Teachers are expected to tutor students in English and reading in a positive and affirming environment and provide information and presentations for parents.

Teachers will work under the supervision of a Multilingual administrator :

Appointments will be made by the Division of Multilingual Education who will select the candidates that best meet the requirements of the recruitment bulletin.
SALARY : Teacher 1 / 200th and Hourly Rate
