JOB PURPOSE: Provides leadership to the assigned shift, supervising shift team members, performing any shift work as needed, and providing outstanding customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that work schedules and breaks are followed by employees. Verbally approves leaves requests and manages absenteeism and tardiness. Initiates disciplinary action and is responsible for preparing shift reports, and accountable for equipment assignments for cell phones, gate clickers, guests/shuttle keys and company vehicles.
- Conducts required training, communicates job expectations, and conducts performance appraisals.
- Vehicle Fleet- Responsible for checking shuttles before and after shift for mileage, cleanliness, and damage. Schedules vehicle maintenance as appropriated and updates logs and records.
- Assist attendants -Drives shuttles, parks cares, open doors for customers, washes shuttles (exterior/interior and fuels shuttles.
- Evaluates work of shift team members and provides guidance on technical and non-technical work.
- Provides input in initiating employment termination decisions, layoffs, promotions, salary increases or other personnel activities normally associated with more experienced supervisor/management levels.
- Provides input into the budgeting process and must adhere to budget constraints.
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Extensive knowledge of Valet department rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance inspection procedures.
- Skill in driving various vehicles (stick shift, automatic).
- Skill in operating a wheelchair lifts.
- Ability to supervise and train others
- Good verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- At least 4 years of applicable related lead or supervisor related experience and a four year degree in an applicable area of specialization. Can be equivalent to a high school diploma and at least 6 years of in depth applicable and progressive experience.
- Must have a clean driving record and required to furnish a driving report from DMV every (6) months
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- · Standing/Walking, 40% ; Sitting 60%
- · Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
- · Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage up to 50 lbs.
- continuously throughout shift.
- · Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
- · Exposure to fumes, dust, and allergens.
- · Exposure to noise and outdoor elements, all types of weather; extended periods of standing, sitting, running, and walking
- · Office/Hotel setting; Shift work; Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
