Are you a fun and energetic DJ with a passion for music and entertainment? Buffalo's Café Rome is looking for a talented DJ to host our exciting karaoke and trivia nights, creating unforgettable experiences for our community!
Overview:
As a DJ, you will be responsible for selecting and mixing music, interacting with guests, and ensuring that events run smoothly. This role requires excellent public speaking skills, a customer service orientation, and the ability to adapt to various event atmospheres.
Responsibilities:
- Curate and mix music playlists tailored to the event type and audience preferences.
- Plan and execute engaging karaoke and trivia events that captivate our audience.
- Engage with guests through public speaking, announcements, and interactive activities.
- Set up and break down audio equipment before and after events, which may involve heavy lifting.
- Communicate effectively with event coordinators to understand specific requirements and expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience throughout the event.
- Stay updated on current music trends to keep playlists fresh and relevant.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including bartenders, to enhance the overall event atmosphere.
- Market and promote our karaoke and trivia nights to attract participants.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a DJ or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for music is essential.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills with the ability to engage and entertain an audience.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction during events.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment as needed for setup and breakdown of events.
- Creativity in marketing and promoting events on social media and other platforms.
- A positive attitude and a desire to create a fun atmosphere for our guests.
- Knowledge of dance music genres is a plus; familiarity with bartending can enhance guest interactions.
