Our company is looking for a Grinder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily duties in this position, include the proper lifting techniques;
- Will be grinding on Steel Plate;
- Will perform close tolerance grinding;
- Lifting/moving of molds to transfer to the grinding table;
- Will use pneumatic and electric grinders of various sizes;
- Baling of cardboard and web scrap (when necessary);
- Maintain safe operation of Forklift used for movement of materials;
- Participate on cross functional work teams when necessary;
- Sampling regrind flake for quality purposes and retaining of samples;
- Remove full and return empty web containers to production floor. Each container shall be properly marked with colored coded material tags;
- Record regrind weights;
- Set-up containers with plastic liners;
- Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces;
- Perform basic repairs, including replacing parts when they are worn down or broken, within the scope of expected knowledge and expertise;
- Must be able to perform own set-ups on O.D. & I.D Grinders.
Requirements:
- Accurate measuring skills needed use of micrometer;
- Willing to train on the Blanchard grinder with any other type of grinding experience;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance;
- Ideally, 3-5 years experience in a shop environment;
- Minimum one year experience with overhead crane and forklift;
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Grinder;
- Lifting of materials up to 50#
- Must pass drug screen;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Experience on all types of grinders;
- Able to work in a fast-paced quality –oriented manufacturing environment;
- Must pass background check;
- Work performed in manufacturing environment where exposure to a number of elements occurs;
- 18 years old;
- Must submit to and pass background and substance abuse tests.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
