Pest Control Technician (Seasonal, Entry Level)

Job Description: Apply pest and mosquito control products on properties throughout central Minnesota. Train new technicians as needed and answer any questions they may have throughout the work day. Research new products and methods for pest control applications.

Experience: No previous experience required.

Required qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, carry a backpack spray applicator of up to 60 pounds over various terrain, and obtain the following licenses: category A, category L, and SPCA Journeyman through the MDA. Bug Commander will provide study materials and schedule the licensing tests. Serious driving violations may impact the opportunity to be hired.

Personal Characteristics: Great attitude, friendly, punctual, team leader, proactive, organized, coachable, and professional.

Availability: Monday – Friday. Rotating Fridays on call during the busy season (April - October). Weather impacts the schedule.

• Expected hours during busy season: 40 – 45 per week (April - October)
• Expected hours during off season: 8-24 per week (as needed and if desired, November - March)

Compensation: $20 per hour starting
