What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS Intern position at Bug Tussel Wireless, LLC?
JOB SUMMARY
This is an internship opportunity. The primary task for the intern will be to create and edit geospatial and attribute data in the office and the field. The position will organize and set up web maps utilizing ArcGIS Online. ESRI Field Maps will be utilized to edit in the field.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Data is shared between Bug Tussel and various construction and engineering firms.
•Consistent and clear communication is required to maintain efficiency and data accuracy.
•This position will be part-time or full-time employment for approximately 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to permanent employment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•Graduate or undergraduate student, or recent graduate.
•Completed coursework utilizing Geographic Information Systems & ESRI-related products
•Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Online and Field Maps required
•Valid Driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
•Working conditions will require significant time traveling by company vehicle, walking Rural uneven surfaces at jobsites, while collecting and editing in the field
PREFERRED SKILLS
•Experience with ArcGIS Pro
•Experience with ArcGIS Online
•Microsoft Office experience – Including Outlook, Word, & Excel
•Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems
•Ability to be self-motivated
•Can problem-solve individually and on a team
•Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills
