Description
We seek an Automotive Body Technician team player who is energetic, technically focused with a strong work ethic and the ability to grow. We are a very busy shop with a steady workflow, an experienced service team, and a modern facility. As a Body Shop Technician at Swickard Collision Center, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and customers every day!
What Winning Looks Like:
- Demonstrating a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness and integrity.
- Thoroughly disassemble, repair and reassemble each vehicle
- Ability to read and understand written estimates and work orders
- Prepare vehicles and parts for painting using proper techniques, equipment, and materials
- Repair collision damage according to OEM standards using guidelines including Alldata, I-Car, etc.
- Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts
- Ability to repair all types of damage from light cosmetic to heavy structural
- Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application
- Works with the team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery
- Maintain all tools and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Needed to Win:
- 3 years as an Automotive Body Technician is required
- I-Car and/or ASE certification is a plus
- A team player who is focused on providing exemplary work and service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high production
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
- Current valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
