Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division
- Advise clients on their rights and options, providing clear and compassionate counsel
- Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation
- Litigate cases when needed, preparing for and conducting trials
- Stay updated on Maryland family law, case law, and procedural rules
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure excellent client service and case management
- Support the firm's marketing and community outreach efforts
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership with the Maryland State Bar.
- Strong interest in family law and a commitment to helping clients through challenging times
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Proven ability to negotiate and litigate effectively
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset, along with the ability to work independently when needed
- Proficiency in legal research and writing, with experience in case management software preferred
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to client interactions.
