About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Family Law Paralegal to join our fast-paced litigation practice. This is an in-office position, ideal for someone who lives locally and has an easy commute to downtown San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law or a strong desire to specialize in this area and will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys and clients.

What You'll Do
- Draft initial pleadings and discovery documents
- Assist in reviewing discovery responses
- Collaborate as a team player on all cases
- Organize and track multiple assignments and deadlines
- Prepare and organize legal documents, including trial binders
- Manage case files and ensure all information is up to date
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates
- Maintain litigation calendar and schedule appointments
- Conduct legal research as needed
- Be familiar with or willing to learn local rules and procedural deadlines for Bay Area counties
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
- Family law experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Professional demeanor with a client-focused approach
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Clio software system operations (calendaring, billing, document storage)
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn electronic filing procedures for Bay Area counties
- Basic document preparation, formatting, and Excel use
- Competitive salary based on experience, with room to grow
- Paid time off for most court holidays
- Accrued vacation pay, resulting in two weeks paid vacation after one year
- Sick pay in accordance with San Francisco code
- Health insurance (United Healthcare) available after three months, with a 5% employee contribution
