At Coastal Probate, Trust & Elder Law, we provide compassionate legal guidance to families navigating estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law matters. As our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive, client-focused professional to join our team.

About the Role

We’re hiring for an in-person Legal Assistant position—open to either full-time or part-time applicants, depending on what works best for your schedule. For the right candidate, there may also be some hybrid work flexibility.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage client intake, case coordination, and legal administrative tasks with minimal training. The right person is a strong communicator who can deliver a warm and professional client experience while keeping every case organized and on track from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client intake, collect essential information, and help ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience as clients transition from prospective to active
  • Review and manage client files throughout the case to ensure documents and information are complete and organized
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients—providing updates, answering non-legal questions, and coordinating communication with the legal team
  • Track client progress to keep key milestones and deadlines on schedule
  • Proactively identify and resolve delays or issues to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to maintain high service standards
  • Assist with drafting, filing, and legal administrative tasks as needed

Who We’re Looking For

  • 2 years of experience as a legal assistant (estate planning and elder law preferred)
  • Client-centered communicator with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (Clio preferred)
Why Join Us?

Meaningful Work – Support families through life’s important transitions

Supportive Team Culture – Join a positive, professional, and collaborative environment

Competitive Compensation & Flexibility

  • Hourly rate based on experience
  • Flexible schedule – open to full-time or part-time arrangements
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Potential for hybrid work, depending on firm needs and role

Full-time employment benefits include:

  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and sick leave
