They are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to join their team in San Antonio, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring that each project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain detailed project reports, identifying potential issues and proactively addressing them.
- Monitor project progress, reviewing schedules, and adjusting keep the project on track.
- Ensure the work site is organized, safe, and compliant with all local and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Resolve on-site issues and challenges in a timely and efficient manner to minimize project delays.
- Prepare and review construction documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a General Contractor background.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects valued at $15 million or more.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- A strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and other relevant industry certifications.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
