We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our growing center.
Job Summary:
As the Child Care Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and success of our daycare center. You will ensure that the center operates in compliance with all state regulations, creates a positive and safe environment for children and staff, and promotes a high standard of early childhood education. This position requires excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the child care center, ensuring compliance with Michigan daycare licensing regulations.
- Manage, train, and support staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of all children within the center.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, payroll, and record-keeping.
- Ensure the center remains clean, organized, and in good condition.
- Maintain open communication with families and staff through newsletters, meetings, and updates.
- Facilitate enrollment and retention efforts, ensuring the center stays full and vibrant.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, child care management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Knowledge of Michigan child care licensing requirements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A passion for working with young children and fostering a positive learning environment.
