Our Supported Employment Program:
- This is a program that helps individuals with disabilities find jobs and develop the skills needed to be successful in those jobs.
- A job developer will play a vital role in connecting participants of the program with meaningful job opportunities.
As a Job Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers to secure job opportunities for program participants, promoting the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and the value of job coaching as a workplace accommodation.
- Evaluating participants referred to the Supported Employment Program, creating personalized employment plans based on their goals and referral data. Initiating job placement efforts within 7 days of authorization to provide services.
- Providing hands-on job preparation support, including resume and cover letter development, job application assistance, employer outreach, interview coordination, and accompanying participants to interviews in the community.
- Conducting interview preparation sessions to help program participants develop strong interviewing skills and confidence. Consistently securing a minimum of two job placements per month.
- Conducting daily outreach to employers to secure job opportunities, maintaining a detailed log of contacts and follow-ups, and reporting out monthly to the SEP Manager.
- Completing and submitting all required placement documentation, including the Department of Rehabilitation Notice of Placement before the participant's start date. Coordinating start dates with the employer and program leadership to ensure a smooth transition and necessary support.
- Utilizing BuildAbility Work-Site Assessment and Task Analysis Forms to ensure a strong job match. Conducting site safety inspections before participants start employment to ensure a secure and supportive work environment.
- Ensuring successful job placements by providing one to two weeks of initial on-site job coaching, fostering positive employer relationships, and transitioning support to a job coach when appropriate.
- Working closely with job coaches to provide training on employer expectations, work schedules, and job responsibilities within five days of placement. Providing ongoing support, conflict resolution, and advocacy to promote job retention and career growth.
- Working closely with the Job Coaches to evaluate the job performance and workplace integration of Supported Employment program participants as needed or upon request. Identifying and resolving employment-related challenges, such as workplace adjustments or performance concerns, in collaboration with the SEP Program Manager to ensure long-term job success.

- M-F, 40 hours per week

Compensation:
- Starting at $18.00- $22.00/hour (dependent upon prior experience and qualifications).

- Minimum one year of experience serving people with developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Two years’ experience in marketing, sales, or supervision preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to advocate for the hiring of people with disabilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive client information/circumstances
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft 365)
- Attention to detail and solid organizational abilities
- Dependable, reliable and demonstrated strong work ethic
