As the Shared Programs Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Program Oversight
- Daily supervision of staff, including conducting weekly 1:1 check-ins, performance spot checks, and service delivery observations.
- Facilitate intake, assessment, and onboarding of new participants in collaboration with program managers.
- Oversee participant case management, ensuring timely documentation, goal tracking, and compliance with program requirements.
- Support quality service delivery aligned with participants' Individualized Program Plans (IPPs).
- Assist in coordinating with regional centers to maintain active Purchase of Service (POS) authorizations for participants.
- Respond to and report special incidents for participants in accordance with program protocols.
- Promote participant choice, rights, and inclusion in the community.
- Ensure a person-centered approach is embedded in all service delivery.
- Maintain effective communication with program managers, staff, and other BuildAbility departments
- Collaborate to create and implement staff training programs for both ILS (Independent living Services Program) and Quest (Community Integration Program) teams.
- Act as a DSP as needed to ensure program continuity and coverage.
- Contribute to the development of new program hubs or locations as the programs expand.
- Identify opportunities to optimize service delivery and maximize billable hours.
- Support long-term growth and transition planning for the role to specialize in one program as staffing needs evolve.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

- Full-time
- 5 days, 40 hour/week
- Sylmar, CA
- Starting at $26.00 - $29.00/hour (depending on prior experience and qualifications)

- Minimum three years’ experience serving people with developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Minimum two years’ experience in a supervisorial or management role
- Demonstrated experience accessing generic community resources in the Los Angeles area
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve disputes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive client and/or staff information/circumstances
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), and fundamental knowledge of Excel
- Attention to detail and solid organizational abilities
- Dependable, reliable and demonstrated strong work ethic
