JOB DESCRIPTION
To assure that machinery and processes are performing at a consistent level so that production can produce quality parts in a safe and efficient manner to meet daily demand schedule.
DUTIES:
(1) Perform highly diversified duties to maintain all aspects of the facility; install and maintain production machines.
(2) Install and repair a wide variety of complex equipment including automatic machines and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls, and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.
(3) Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective components, test and make adjustments.
(4) Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, including air compressors, and lighting systems.
(5) Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
(6) Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
(7) Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations to proper supervision.
(8) Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
(9) Train and mentor maintenance apprentices.
(10) Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Use advanced trades and basic mathematics together with part and equipment drawings. Use thorough technical skill knowledge and application of basic theory to solve complex problems.
2) Considerable judgment required to plan and perform unusual work where only general methods are available.
3) Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co workers and follow written and / or verbal instructions.
4) Ability to work with limited supervision.
5) Ability to work on different shifts and overtime (including weekends), if required
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) High School or Technical School education.
2) Threes years mechanical maintenance background
3) Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatic trouble shooting
4) Lifting objects up to 40 pounds
5) Must be able to perform basic mathematics operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
