What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Delivery Driver position at Builders FirstSource?
At Builders FirstSource, we're looking for a skilled CDL delivery driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering construction materials to our customers in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites.
- Adhere to driver safety and compliance regulations, deliver undamaged goods on schedule, and provide professional service to customers.
- Load or assist with loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicles.
- Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
- Act as a customer service liaison between the company and the site customer, handling customer concerns and helping to resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, 21 years old, valid driver's license, and a Class A CDL license.
- Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience, with 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
- Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to read and speak the English language.
