Job Summary
Builders FirstSource is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading: Load or assist with loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.
- Delivery: Deliver customer orders to specified delivery site, maneuvering vehicles into loading or unloading positions, and ensuring that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Record Keeping: Verify order details, maintain logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
- Customer Service: Act as a customer service liaison between the company and the site customer, handling customer concerns, and helping to resolve issues as they arise.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, perform routine safety checks, and ensure vehicles comply with company guidelines.
Requirements:
- Licensing and Certification: Valid driver's license and a Class B CDL license.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience, with 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
- Math and Measurement Skills: Basic math and measurement skills.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and speak the English language.
