Inside Sales Associate-Window Division

$22.00 per hour plus commissions

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer focused Inside Sales Associate to join our windows Division. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on window products, answering inquiries, and driving sales. You will work closely with the outside sales team, operations, and customers to ensure an exceptional buying experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Customer Engagement: Proactively assist customers via phone, email and in-person consultations to understand their window needs and recommend appropriate products.
  1. Sales Support: Provide detailed product information, prepare quotes, process orders and follow up to secure sales.
  2. Product Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of window products, features, and installation options to advise customers effectively.
  1. Order Management: Track and manage customer orders from initial inquiry through delivery, ensuring timelines and satisfaction are met.
  1. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors to foster repeat business.
  2. Collaboration: Partner with the outside sales team to support customer projects, provide accurate pricing, and address any challenges. Plans and paces own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project or team-related productivity goals.
  1. Plan Take-offs: Read plans and input into software. Understand local building codes and requirements.
  1. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or coworkers. Attends safety meetings as required. May recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
  2. Carries out other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED and 1 (one) year of sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of company products, competitor's products and company standards
  • Knowledge of company product pricing, discount and estimating formulas and guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic sales techniques, concepts and the ability to influence and persuade
  • Proficiency in Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
