The Logistics Coordinator - Delivery Services role at Builders FirstSource offers a rewarding opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our delivery services team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe transportation of building materials to customer sites.
About the Job
- Diligently drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites, adhering to driver safety/compliance regulations.
- Deliver un-damaged goods on schedule and provide professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.
- Verifying order details and maintaining logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
- Acting as a customer service liaison between the company and the site customer, handling customer concerns and resolving issues as they arise.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, performing routine safety checks to ensure vehicles comply with company guidelines.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL license and a minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience, with 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
- Able to read and speak English fluently.
- Basic math & measurement skills.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
