What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Specialist position at Builders FirstSource?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Under general supervision, handles daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks by performing the following duties:
- Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
- Records factors causing goods to be returned.
- Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
- Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
Requirements
In order to perform this role successfully, you should have basic knowledge of inventory management and logistics. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.
