Position Summary


The Inside Sales Representative develops and implements a strategic agency management sales plan to drive maximum production and achieve profit goals within an assigned territory.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with agents, primarily virtually and telephonically, to drive sales objectives and growth in assigned territories. Build and maintain strong relationships with agents/producers to meet or exceed financial objectives.
  • Participate in industry events and meetings with local agencies.
  • Manage an assigned territory, including compiling and evaluating competitor products, rates and activities, offering recommendations upon review.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of underwriting territory, including sources and the nature of the agent’s business.
  • Maintain sales administration responsibilities through timely reporting and expense management.
  • Create demand which enables agents/producers to maximize the flow of desirable business to meet or exceed financial goals in the territory.
  • Follow disciplined sales processes and ensure consistent execution of superior sales principles while demonstrating a thorough understanding of the assigned territory.
  • Exercise discipline and focus around flow management to ensure an adequate flow, and an acceptable mix of business, to meet agency and company growth and profit objectives.
  • Create call plans to prioritize and leverage agency contact and activity to ensure a sustainable flow of desired business.
  • Build actionable agency sales plans that align with the company’s financial objectives for growth, retention and profit. Utilize data tools to monitor plan results, to communicate and to implement actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Three or more years of property and casualty sales, marketing or underwriting experience
  • Knowledge of company product offerings, negotiation strategies and sales techniques
  • Skill in interpersonal interactions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external contacts; skill in customer service, motivating others and problem-solving
  • Capacity to work autonomously while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadership
  • Skill in time management, prioritization and project management; ability to multi-task effectively while paying attention to detail
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications
