Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team management and warehouse supervision, ensuring efficient processes in shipping, receiving, and materials handling. This role requires a proactive leader who can motivate a team while maintaining safety standards and operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Manage materials handling processes, including heavy lifting and equipment operation, such as forklifts.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with logistics planning to optimize storage space and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to support e-commerce initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting as required.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as logistics management.
- Experience operating forklifts; certification preferred but not required at hiring (training will be provided).
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is beneficial.
