Maintenance Technician/Driver

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with proven expertise in managing HUD/Section 8 properties. In this dual role, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance and repairs while also serving as a delivery driver for material deliveries when maintenance calls are low. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Property Maintenance & Repairs:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HUD/Section 8 properties.
• Troubleshoot issues promptly and effectively to ensure all properties meet safety and quality standards.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive work.
• Delivery Driver Duties:
• Safely transport and deliver materials, supplies, and equipment to various project sites as needed.
• Coordinate with the project management team to schedule deliveries during periods of low maintenance activity.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, HUD regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on each property.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property maintenance, preferably with experience in HUD/Section 8 housing.
• Proficiency in general maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
