Overview/Purpose:
The Lead Behavior Analyst (BCBA) works with and provides escalation support and guidance to a team of Behavior Technicians to provide applied behavior analytic assessments and clinical services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The Lead Behavior Analyst provides consultation, conducts behavioral evaluations, and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients, while providing oversight expertise to Behavior Technicians to ensure quality of work product and adherence to applicable certification guidelines. The Lead Behavior Analyst educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activitiesand service delivery of Behavior Technicians. The Lead Behavior Analyst is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts.For a more detail list of duties and responsibilities, refer to job description. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts in a team lead capacity to provide escalation support and guidance to a team of Behavior Technicians to ensure that applied behavior analytic assessments and children’s and adolescents’ clinical services are delivered in accordance with applicable Board Guidelines.
- Responsible for ongoing client program development and oversight including skills acquisition and social skills programs and positive behavior supports and strategies.
- Ensures direct staff are trained on best practice procedures based upon the principles of behavior analysis, and commensurate with the responsibilities of their job duties.
- Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and school-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
- Ensures appropriate behavior data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
- Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation for client caseload.
- Collaborates with classroom teachers, parents, psychologists, social workers, and other medicaland school staff to develop and implement client’s behavior plans and treatment goals.
Requirements:
Required: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Master’s in a related field with a post masters BACB course sequence
Maintain all trainings (i.e. CPR/First Aid, Mandated Reporter) & clearances.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working within behavior analysis, [with a minimum of 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
Licensed as a Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania.
Certification as a BCBA by the BACB
This position requires a valid drivers’ license as the duties involve traveling on behalf of the company. As such this is a safety sensitive position.
Clearance Requirements: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, FBI fingerprinting, CPR/First Aid, Tuberculosis screening, mandated reporter training
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout school and classroom.
Prolonged periods sitting and working on computer to complete necessary paperwork.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
Must be able to assist students who have physical difficulties.
Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist and teach children throughout the day.
Must be willing and able to complete restrains, holds, and transports in line with crisis management trainings such as Safety Care or CPI.
Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection and session notes.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
