Behavior Technician
Schedule
Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Supervisor:
Director of Education
Qualifications for a Behavior Technician:
- High School Diploma Required
- Satisfactory Skills Assessment Results
- Three years of experience in the field of education and/or behavior management preferred.
- RBT license a plus
Essential Functions:
- The Behavior Technician will Implement services, per the student’s individualized education and behavior management program, utilizing the principles of ABA to target socially significant skills.
- Use Natural Environment Teaching to introduce new skills and maintain previously mastered skills.
- Record behavior, education, and opportunity data throughout the day
- Input data input on assigned students.
- Complete weekly Data Reviews for his/her primary student to be analyzed by the Director of Behavior Services, Teachers, and DOE.
- Follow each student’s Individualized Education Plan and the corresponding goals written and supervised by the BCBA.
- Assist in the development of program materials.
- Assist in the organization of classrooms, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure that their primary student’s classroom area is cleaned each afternoon, and materials are ready for work in the morning.
- Complete small cleaning tasks assigned on the daily and weekly schedules.
- Communicate and coordinate with classroom teacher Re: student behavior, academic needs, etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
