We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow and develop at their own pace. As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will provide high-quality early childhood education for children ages 0-3, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role requires a caring individual who values the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide developmentally appropriate care and education for infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and implement daily activities, including play-based learning, storytelling, music, art, and physical activities, to promote overall child development.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable being outdoors in all types of weather
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s progress, needs, and daily experiences.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, including maintaining toys, equipment, and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for all children.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and school policies.
- Support children in developing early social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and expressing their feelings appropriately.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training including Care 4 Kids Health and Safety Training.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or Early Childhood Education degree (preferred).
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
