BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
ARE YOU A BCBA LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME??
Building Bridges offers a supportive and flexible environment to do what you do best, allowing you a better balance while making an impact in the lives of clients.
· Must Have - BCBA certification in good standing, MI license, available to work 2-3 evening shifts per week (approx 4-8)
· Would Love to Have - Interest, knowledge, and experience with: Assent-based therapy, neurodiversity affirming practices, PFA (Practical Functional Assessment) and SBT (Skill-Based Treatment), trauma-informed care, self-advocacy, self-determination, Hanley
· Good to Have - Experience with ASD and challenging behavior, Functional Behavioral Assessments, Functional Analysis, broader client-experience than just early intervention
What’s best about being a BCBA at BBTC????
· Focus on your clients and your teams, not insurance. No weekly or monthly billable hour requirements
· Not solely “early childhood” – no forced discharge based on client ages. Clients’ needs don’t stop because of a certain age.
· Great internal multi-disciplinary collaboration with our team: OTs, SLPs, PTs, and psychologists. Outside collaboration with other professionals such as Schools, Doctors, Dentists, etc. to ensure the most effective and meaningful change for the client.
· Flexible schedule – you create your own schedule however best allows you to balance your personal priorities and the client and team needs
· Values based treatment (family values, client values)
· Open Honest and Direct communication throughout the company, all doors are open and all voices are heard and respected.
· Cultural Humility as a value and practice in the company and with each client and family
· Neurodiversity Affirming with clients and staff
· Positive Atmosphere
· Resources spent on supporting staff development rather than advertising for clients. We have a long wait list of clients due to word of mouth.
· Paid Professional Development monthly for the entire ABA program (BCBAs, techs and others; and scheduled in place of regular sessions rather than on top of them)
· Strong investment in providing client-specific training and shadowing before techs are assigned to a team (we don’t throw random staff onto your team just to cover the shift).
· Parent training and expectations initially presented by Co-Directors at start of services.
· Structure of support for BCBAs- ABCs, lead BCBAs, Co-Directors, weekly BCBA meetings
