We Are Looking For:
An enthusiastic and skilled Floating Teacher who is passionate about enriching the lives of children. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, creative individual dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Classroom Support – Assist lead and assistant teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed.
✅ Child Supervision – Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children of varying ages.
✅ Activity Assistance – Help facilitate activities such as tummy time, sensory play, arts & crafts, music, and circle time.
✅ Behavior Guidance – Use positive reinforcement to encourage appropriate behavior and social-emotional development.
✅ Mealtime Assistance – Bottle-feed infants, support self-feeding for toddlers, and help preschoolers with meals/snacks.
✅ Diapering & Potty Training – Change diapers following health guidelines and assist in potty training.
✅ Naptime Support – Soothe infants, help toddlers settle, and encourage quiet rest time for preschoolers.
✅ Sanitization & Organization – Clean and sanitize toys, surfaces, and materials to maintain a healthy classroom environment.
✅ Transition Assistance – Support children in moving between activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods.
✅ Staff Coverage – Provide coverage for teachers during breaks, planning time, or absences.
✅ Communication – Relay observations to lead teachers regarding children’s progress and needs.
✅ Emergency Preparedness – Follow safety protocols for fire drills, medical situations, and lockdowns.
✅ Nurturing Environment – Maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
✅ Building Relationships – Build strong relationships with students and parents, fostering a community of trust and cooperation.
✅ Child Progress Monitoring – Regularly assess and document children's progress, sharing insights with lead and assistant teachers.
✅ Team Collaboration – Contribute to a collaborative, supportive work culture among staff.
✅ Record Keeping – Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Qualifications:
✔ High school diploma or GED required (CDA or Early Childhood Education credits preferred)
✔ Experience working with children (daycare, preschool, babysitting, or similar roles)
✔ CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Ability to adapt to different age groups and classroom environments
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Passion for working with young children and supporting their development
✔ Understanding of child welfare and the ability to provide appropriate care for students
✔ Passion for the arts and integrating them into educational practices.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.25 per hour
