What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter II position at Building Material Distributors, Inc.?
What you’ll do:
The Carpenter II, as part of an Installation Team, will prepare, demo, install, and seal Marvin Windows and Doors and like products in residential homes and businesses by maximizing today’s air and water management techniques, following manufacturer installation recommendations, and complete light carpentry – installing interior and exterior trim; and clean up and haul off the old windows and materials. The Carpenter II will also provide excellent customer facing service and complete pre and post installation paperwork.
Successful candidates will:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Have the ability to perform heavy physical demands, lifting 50lbs. frequently.
- Have customer facing experience and demonstrated excellent customer service.
- At least 1 year of windows and doors installation experience, carpentry experience, or similar transferable experience in a related field.
- 6 months experience with hand tools such as various saws, wrenches, drill, hammer, etc.
- 6 months experience reading and interpreting blue prints and windows and doors installation instructions.
- 6 months experience accurately completing installation paperwork or similar paperwork.

- Starting pay of $27 per hour plus an opportunity to earn Team Incentive Performance pay (TIPP) when the team achieves performance targets.
