Job Summary:
We are hiring for an entry-level Supply Chain Analyst in the Procurement department of our company. Responsibilities include coordination and reporting on supply and demand for all assigned products, sourcing costs of new materials/products, and frequently interacting with employees from across the organization to keep everyone informed on current requirements.
Basic Function
Our Supply Chain Analysts use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. They are responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support SCM planning and operations. Your daily tasks will include analyzing daily data to identify any upcoming issues in supply or demand for products, sourcing materials/products, communicating with vendors to ensure they can provide what is needed, maintaining relationships with employees across the company to stay up to date on production needs and requirements, and preparing regular reports on findings and updates to management. You will also analyze the movement of goods through the supply pipeline, monitor current processes, identify, and analyze gaps, and develop process improvements. You will be expected to use your skills in database management and spreadsheet analysis to help the business increase cash flows, inventory turns, and delivery efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
The person in this position will:
- Analyze and direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and products.
- Evaluate market dynamics and insights to improve and forecast operational performance.
- Develop business relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Design strategies to minimize the cost or time required to store and transport goods.
- Review logistical systems, and identify and recommend areas for improvement
- Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs.
- Monitor and collect data on current operations, including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery.
- Investigate pain points within the supply chain process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies.
- Analyze data to determine areas for performance improvement
- Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes.
- Create performance reports for management to review.
- Negotiate with vendors and carriers to secure best pricing and ensure contract compliance.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and other supply chain activities.
- Maintain assigned item database and follow guidelines for item compliance to company policies and procedures in the ERP system.
Skills & Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management or similar
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
- Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed

Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
