Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work and possess a strong understanding of construction technique. Stone Masons and Bricklayers may operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. You will be conducting all functions of our job which may include Tuckpointing and Caulking.
Essential Responsibilities & Functions:
- Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in construction projects
- Performs grinding, tuckpointing, caulking, and/or other masonry tasks.Uses equipment and tools properly and safely to perform basic construction tasks
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to work safely on scaffold and swing stages at various heights
- Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director or Human Resources.
- Proven experience as a Brick Mason
- Proficiency in masonry techniques including building, renovating, and repairing structures
Knowledge Requirements:
- Work experience as a tuckpointer, stone mason, bricklayer, and/or caulker required
- Experience with two or more strongly preferred.High school diploma or GED certification preferred
- Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work required
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel required
- Proven experience as a Brick Mason
- Proficiency in masonry techniques including building, renovating, and repairing structures
- Ability to work with various materials such as brick, concrete blocks, and stones

- Construct and repair walls and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones
- Lay out patterns or foundations using measuring tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation
- Cut or saw bricks to fit around windows and doors
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, levels, and chisels to align and set bricks
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
