Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with driving duties, ensuring efficient transportation and handling of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety while operating various vehicles and equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks, vans, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries and pickups, adhering to schedules and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management, stocking shelves, and organizing products for shipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, buses, or limousines is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience in load unloading practices and route driving is highly desirable.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Knowledge of paratransit services or van driving experience can be beneficial for this role.
