Job description
The Metal Building Systems (MBS) Superintendent will be responsible for the daily operation of multiple metal building-specific projects for our Metal Building Systems (MBS) division. The Superintendent will manage multiple erection subcontractors on concurrently running projects, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Study construction documents to plan project site procedures based on the project schedule and stakeholder requirements. Interact with the Project Manager during the procurement phase, at which time the Superintendent develops the MBS erection schedule; develop and utilize look-ahead schedules to assess progress and identify upcoming issues.
- Fully accountable for the MBS erection schedule performance and stakeholder coordination
- Coordination of MBS scope with project-specific Prime General Contractor
- Directs procurement of labor and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to the project schedule.
- Responsible for inspecting MBS workmanship for quality and conformance to project documents and industry standards.
- Manages the project based on progress reports, materials used, and costs and adjusts work schedules accordingly.
Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial Construction Superintendent experience
- Prior Metal Building experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to communicate them verbally and electronically.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and mechanical plans to interpret design intent.
- Good understanding and knowledge of subcontractor’s scopes of work and tolerances
- Strong demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety requirements
- Must be proficient in using computers and tablets, including but not limited to email and Microsoft Office. Previous experience with Procore is preferred but not required.
Additional Information:
Pay: $80,000-$130,000 per year

Competitive salary based on experience
In-state travel is required for the position.
