Overview
As our Field Superintendent, you will directly oversee and manage the field workforce of your project by ensuring the work is completed on schedule, within budget and to the quality standards defined by Buildings By Design, LLC.
To thrive in this role, you must have deep knowledge and understanding of all phases of building construction, have the ability to read and interpret plans, and manage, coordinate, monitor, and control the rate of construction progress.
What You'll Do Every Day
- Maintain a three (3) week look-ahead schedule of the project and all trades
- Ensure that the work completed meets or exceeds the professional standards
- Obtains all inspections and ensures that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented through project management software.
Work Experience, Skills, and Other Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Project, Procore, and Google Suite
- Ability to prepare a project schedule and look-ahead schedules.
- Knowledge of construction processes means and methods, and industry standards
- A keen eye for detail and quality control
- Ability to prioritize, exercise sound independent judgment, and communicate with co-workers.
- Experience in the ground-up commercial construction industry
- Structural trade experience
- Strong understanding of building systems & civil
Additional Information:
Pay: $83,066.00 – $118,307.00 per year

All offers of employment will be contingent on passing a mandatory background check.
Competitive salary based on experience.
In-state travel is required for the position.
