Position Overview
Buildingstars is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor / Day Porter to join our team at a large office/warehouse facility. This is a hands-on leadership role combining daily cleaning responsibilities with supervisory oversight. You’ll work side by side with your team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning: sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal.
Maintain restrooms: clean, sanitize, restock supplies.
Monitor and clean cafeteria areas before and after lunch periods.
Follow a set schedule and uphold facility cleanliness and safety protocols.
Supervisory Duties:
Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations and ensure completion of all assigned duties.
Manage daily task checklists and verify thorough execution.
Enforce proper use of PPE and cleaning equipment.
Provide training, feedback, and consistent quality inspections.
Ensure team members take scheduled breaks and maintain compliance.
Serve as the liaison between cleaning staff and facility management.

Qualifications
Janitorial or custodial experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
High attention to detail and pride in maintaining top-tier standards.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for most of your shift.
Knowledge of cleaning protocols, chemical safety, and OSHA standards.
