Overview:
We are seeking two meticulous Quality Assurance Technicians--one on day shift and another on swing shift-- to join our team. The Quality Assurance Technician will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the highest standards for quality and food safety at Built. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Inspection:
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Conduct physical and sensory testing to ensure products meet established quality and safety standards.
- Monitor critical control points and ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) guidelines.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality checks, test results, and inspections.
- Prepare and submit quality reports to the Quality Manager and relevant departments.
- Document any deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Process Monitoring and Improvement:
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and collaborate with production staff to implement changes.
- Assist in the development and updating of quality assurance procedures and protocols.
- Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, State, SQF, and other relevant food safety standards.
- Conduct routine GMP audits of the production floor.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and food safety standards.
- Support the Quality Manager in developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
- Assist in troubleshooting quality-related issues and provide technical support to the production team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced Spanish and English language skills.
- Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, or customer service.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing facility.
- Night shift hours, with occasional overtime required.
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and raw food ingredients.
