Position Overview:
The Head of Business Intelligence is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and driving the company’s data strategy, analytics, and reporting capabilities. This individual will leverage deep expertise in the food and beverage industry, particularly Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or manufacturing, to deliver insights that guide strategic decision-making. A driver with a strong bias for action, this leader will be proactive in providing actionable insights to leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading and developing high-performing teams, coupled with a solid understanding of the latest trends in business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence, data analytics, and the food sector, applying best practices to enhance the organization’s capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies to improve data accessibility, visualization, and decision-making processes.
- Utilize 3rd party data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, SPINS, and Numerator) to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Assess the company’s current data architecture, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and execute a plan to optimize and streamline the capture, storage, and sharing of data across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business intelligence team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to deliver high-quality analysis and insights.
- Work closely with departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment between business intelligence initiatives and business needs.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure business intelligence efforts are fully integrated into decision-making processes.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of database, dashboarding, and other relevant tools and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CPG and/or food manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Nielsen, Circana, SPINS, Numerator, and NetSuite is a plus.
