Bulk Environmental & Industrial is a fast-growing leading professional transportation and logistics services company providing long-haul transportation, collection, and loading of waste and other materials.

JOB SUMMARY:

A Tarper plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of a facility. They are responsible for safely maneuvering trucks and trailers within the yard area, and coordinating with other team members to ensure they are loaded and unloaded promptly. This job requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and experience handling large vehicles in a busy environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Coordinate with other yard personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers and vehicles.

· Assist with loading and unloading of trailers and containers.

· Monitor and maintain yard safety procedures and protocols.

· Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues to the maintenance team.

· Complete all tasks efficiently and safely.

· Maintain the work area clean and free of debris or objects.

· Follow thoroughly the safety rules and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Prior experience as a Tarper.

· Follow thoroughly the safety rules and procedures.

· Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Demands

This job in a dynamic environment requires being sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs. Intermittently balancing, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, pulling pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. Also requires heavy work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Working Conditions

This job is located primarily in an outdoor environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee will be exposed to strong smells and may be interrupted from time to time.
