Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for an IT Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience managing IT projects, an exceptional knowledge of SDLC processes, excellent organization skills with a proven history of delivering projects on time and within budget, and be an excellent communicator.
General Requirements :
- Responsible for the delivery of one or more business information technology projects including management of the day-to-day work activities of the project, ensuring quality of the team’s work, managing project scope, issues, risk, resources (internal and external resources), and budget. Coordinate and manage project’s integration with other IT initiatives.
- Structure and estimate the project with business sponsor and subject matter experts, organizing the team, assigning and monitoring tasks, identifying and resolving project issues, identifying and mitigating project risks, managing scope and schedule changes, managing project budget, and reporting status.
- Coordinate with other IT areas to ensure appropriate timing, resources, and sequencing of work efforts are aligned to produce desired results according to project schedule. Build a strong relationship with the business owner and key stakeholders of the project. Lead project steering meetings and develop appropriate communication for executive stakeholders. Review quality of work and facilitate integration of team members' work. Ensure the project is aligned with expectations and facilitate project decision-making.
- Develop an understanding of the project’s business objectives, related success metrics, effectively cascade the objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them. Create a project environment enabling peak performance by team members.
- Complete governance & project closeout activities. Utilize PM methodologies & tools to ensure appropriate key project activities & documentation is prepared throughout the project lifecycle (charter, requirements, design / technical collateral, financial templates, etc.). Apply appropriate IT processes, methods, policies, and standards in the completion of project work.
- Tangible experience with Waterfall and Agile planning & execution methodologies.
- Adept at leading and / or managing multiple related projects (Program) or a mix of unrelated projects.
- Strong communicator and influencer, with the ability to drive through ambiguity & risks to deliver results across cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- CPG industry experience.
- Agile experience.
- PMP certification.
