Maintenance Supervisor

BULL MOOSE TUBE COMPANY, a progressive manufacturing organization has a Maintenance Supervisor opportunity for experienced leadership candidates at our Trumbull County Masury, Ohio plant site. Excellent benefits and compensation are available.

SUMMARY: Oversees maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Accomplishes maintenance staff results by:
   1. communicating job expectations,
   2. planning, monitoring, and appraising job results,
   3. training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and
   4. initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
2. Maintains reporting procedures and shift production summaries.
3. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and facilitating maintenance corrections to malfunctions within process.
4. Implements cost reduction measures.
5. Accomplishes work results by establishing priorities and resolving problems.
6. Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
7. Acts as a steward for safety regulations and the collective bargaining agreement.
8. Reads and interprets manufacturer's equipment and lubrication recommendations.
9. Performs required maintenance and repairs PM's and lubrication on all equipment.
10. Ability to run all maintenance machinery such as lathes, presses, and grinders.
11. Familiarity with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480vt equipment.
12. Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements.
13. Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Previous supervisory experience; preferably of a maintenance team.
2. Excellent technical skills in machinery, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, microprocessors, PLCs, and electrical systems/equipment.
3. Preventative maintenance and lean skills.
4. Strong leadership, team, interpersonal and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
2. 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a plant environment; preferably in metals, steel, or other related heavy industry.
