What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cook position at BULL RIVER MARINA?
The Burger Boat located at Bull River Marina in Savannah, Ga is looking for a "Chef minded" lead cook to work catered and special events as well as weekly scheduled events.
YES ! This kitchen is on a boat, This means that you will be working on a boat and many times underway moving to different locations from local rivers, sandbars to downtown dock environments. If not familiar with boating , you will be trained on the needs of the boat and maritime rules but not necessarily needed to Captain the vessel from location to location. Training for that will be provided i applicable. Our kitchen is a tight space but no different than many in town. We use gas Flat-tops and, electric griddle and a steam warmer due to our environment. Our menu is short and simple but we are always open to ideas that work in our environment. BRING YOUR INNER CHEF.
Qualifications:
Must have 3 years in a full service kitchen.
Must be familiar or have a current ServSafe certification to serve food behind the line - this means knowing proper food storage practices, food temps for poultry and especially SEAFOOD.
Chef must know how to calculate food loss and maintain food orders for the following week of service.
Front of the House and POS / Expo experience a plus!
