Marina Mechanic Experience is a requirement. This is not an entry level position.
Bull River Marina in Savannah, GA is looking for a Marine Mechanic to join our crew. We are located at 8005 Us Hwy 80 E. We have a fleet of 10 vessels including small craft as well as larger capacity COI vessels. Your skill level MUST range from outboard general service (Suzuki/Yamaha) to servicing newer and older model diesel engines. In our slower season you may also be required for other projects throughout the year on our docks and shipyard. Must be physically able to work in various conditions and lift 50lbs. Must be able to work on general projects without direct supervision.
$35HR to start. Pay grade increase with production and experience upon evaluation of your work ethic and qualifications. Flat Rate jobs $$ available for "top qualified" mechanic. Must be able to work weekends on rotation as job demands.
Duties
- Run diagnostics using diag software/laptop Diesel/Jaltest) training provided
- Manage job sheets, maintenance schedule as provided, order parts
- Work in a production-based atmosphere demanding a quick turnover.
- Manage your daily timesheet and billable hours as per job sheet.
- Responsible for clean workspace and tool/product inventory
- Responsible for maintaining our serviceable equipment; generators, power tools, gen shop equipment
- Will be required to maneuver vessels of various size - TRAINING will be provided.
- All work areas must stay organized and checked before end of shifts and after each job.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in 4-stroke outboard maintenance, diagnostic tools, engine rigging.
- Must have some V8 engine and diesel engine experience - 4 years in Marine industry!
- Must have references from previous work in the marine industry.
- Be able to pass USCG drug screening to operate/maneuver vessels. (REQUIRED)
