What are the responsibilities and job description for the Smithfield's Chicken & BBQ General Manager position at Bullard Restaurant Group?
Maximizing the value of an appealing atmosphere in the restaurant requires a good bit of business savvy. General Managers should take full responsibility for what happens within the four walls of their restaurant. They know who is on their schedule, what product they have in house, and the numbers they are running. The candidate must exhibit energy and can also see every day as a new opportunity! General managers will take responsibility for the following duties on a regular basis:
- Ensures incoming and existing staff complies with company policy.
- Hiring, training, and following up with staff to develop consistent restaurant procedures.
- Ensure recipes and culinary techniques are mastered.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
- Organizing schedules.
- Keeping track of employees’ hours and recording payroll data.
- Manage food, labor, and operating costs to optimize P&L results.
- Responsible for all aspects of the restaurant operations and facilities.
Qualifications:
- At least a high school diploma.
- Previous restaurant experience.
- Prior work as a manager or supervisor (2 years Minimum).
- Success with customer service.
- Training in food safety.
- Experience with long shifts standing on your feet.
- Financial literacy.
- Ability to keep inventory organized.
- Must be one who looks to take the initiative and not wait for directions.
- Excellent Leadership Skills and Attitude that create a great workplace environment.
Compensation Depending on Experience: $55,000 - $65,000 Depending on Experience plus Bonuses!
