The Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for optimizing the manufacturing process of industrial health and safety equipment and systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support production in reducing downtime or scrap
- Create and maintain Process Flow, PFMEA, and Operation and Maintenance documentation
- Lead cross-functional product and process development teams
- Meet labor content and product cost standards
- Prepare routings, visual work instructions, manufacturing plans, value stream maps
- Provide training to Production Associates as needed
- Support error-proofing methodologies
- Facilitate continuous improvement for all processes
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of computer-based machine control systems
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and practices
- Minimum 2-4 years related experience in manufacturing or assembly processes
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
