Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting material safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficient in operating box trucks, vans, flatbeds and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Bulldog Flooring & Finish Carpentry, Inc. is a family owned business located in Tracy, CA. Originally BFFC was founded in 2007 as Bulldog Floor Coverings, a hardwood flooring install only business. In 2017 Bulldog Trim was started, a trim install only business and in 2019 it was decided to add supply so the two businesses merged together to form BFFC. BFFC has had a lot of growth and with growth comes opportunity. Many members of the team have been with the Company for many years.
